Slade is a playable Priest in the games Shining Force Gaiden II(a.k.a.Shining Force: The Sword of Hajya) and Shining Force CD.
Background[]
Slade is a priest from Thames Village. Soldiers from Iom invaded and took all the villagers captive save him and Graham in order to coerce them into following their orders. Graham was ordered to steal the Sword of Hajya. It is not known what role they intended Slade to take in this, but apparently he had been intending to comply until the Cypress army showed up in Thames and Mayfair convinced him to join them.
Slade wears a green and white priest's outfit. He has blue eyes.
Personality[]
Slade is something of a mystery. His response to the plight of the villagers of Thames clearly shows he has a compassionate heart, and May has commented on his gentle appearance. Yet despite his age, Slade has a bizarre fascination with females, young girls in particular, and apparently those of the Cypress army are suspicious of him. Sarah in particular keeps a very wary eye on him and seems willing to assume that any mischief that occurs is his doing. He does indeed have some tendency to harass the women, and in Book 3 he forms a friendship with Ruce, who bench presses girls in his free time.
Strategy[]
Slade gets generally decent stats for a Vicar, though none of his stats particularly stand out at any point. He is the only one of the four healing specialists in Shining Force Gaiden/Shining Force: Sword of Hajya/Shining Force CD who does not learn Aura and the only one who does not learn Blast level 4, though he somewhat makes up for this by learning the valuable Boost instead. He learns spells at a much slower rate than the other healers.
One notable advantage of Slade's is that, of the three healing specialists who can be used in Book 3, he is the only one who does not come pre-promoted. Therefore, if you use level 20 promotions he will come out with better stats than either Sarah or Amigo.

- Level 2 - acquires at level 24
